Job Description
Private Equity Associates must be able to lead deal processes from start to finish without step-by-step instructions. They spend their time on sourcing - generating new deal ideas - as well as financial modeling and due diligence for active deals, portfolio company monitoring, and even some fundraising.
Our client, a globally recognized leader in Private Equity, is seeking a highly qualified mid-level to senior associate with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join their award-winning Private Equity Group. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Leveraged recapitalizations
- Growth equity and venture capital transactions
- Exits and equity compensation
- Work independently on transaction components while collaborating effectively within larger deal teams.
- Maintain and foster strong relationships with internal and external clients and counsel.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a top-tier law firm's Corporate or Private Equity practice.
- Proven ability to independently manage components of complex transactions.
- Experience working on a broad spectrum of corporate and transactional matters.
- Proactive mindset, with a strong business sense and attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) is required.
- Outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
- Comparable experience in a leading Big Law firm.
Compensation:
- Base Salary Range: $260,000 to $390,000 (commensurate with experience), plus annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.
