    Job Details
  • Level 1 trauma and Siemen's experience is required
  • Staff will be required to float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with BWH as needed.
  • Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information according to departmental protocol.
  • Explains exam to patient taking into consideration physical and emotional needs; maintains ethical standards.
  • Delivers patient care under scope of license / training.
  • To notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs needed.
  • Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System functions as necessary for each patient exam.
  • Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU's.
  • May oversee and instruct various personnel and technology students within the department.
  • Prepare the equipment room and supplies necessary for each patient and daily use.
  • To acknowledge and participate in research programs, quality assurance and quality improvement projects.
  • To assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and remain flexible in shift coverage and overtime situations.
  • Rotates within department, divisions and off site clinics, by shifts as required and cooperates with all personnel.
  • Transport and transfer patients using established procedures according to departmental guidelines.
  • Uses independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative under pressure when performing patient exams.
  • Performs all other duties as directed.
    Job Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology.
  • Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Be Registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
  • Must meet and maintain the ARRT CT certification.
  • 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred.
  • At least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses preferred.
  • Must have interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients.
    Additional Details
  • A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series is required. No exemptions or waivers will be considered.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season.
