Position Overview: The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Medical Programs, Bureau of All Kids is seeking to hire an organized, detail-oriented, fast-paced individual to serve as Office Administrator V over the clerical support staff. This position will perform complex administrative tasks to assist staff members with planning, developing, coordinating, and executing daily office functions. Responds to inquiries and correspondence from staff, public and private organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of office management practices, procedures, and programs with the ability to follow written and oral instructions. Essential Functions Under general direction, serves as Clerical Support Supervisor by investigating problems that affect the operations of the Clerical Support Section Serves as working supervisor Serves as liaison with agency managers, the Governor's Office and other state agencies by explaining the procedural aspects of the Clerical Support Unit Coordinates and implements new installations Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of study at a secretarial/business college and three (3) years of office experience; or completion of high school and five (5) years of Office Assistant experience; or five (5) years independent business experience Conditions of Employment Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history Requires the ability to maintain and utilize state issued equipment such as a laptop The conditions of employment listed here are incorporated and related to any of the job duties as listed in the job description.
