We are seeking a

Real Estate Transactional Attorney

to join our dynamic team. We specialize in complex real estate transactions and provide legal guidance to developers, investors, lenders, and other clients in the real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in real estate transactions, including the negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts and agreements. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex and challenging real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development. Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing of commercial and residential properties. Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documents, such as purchase agreements, leases, loan agreements, deeds, easements, and title documents. Provide legal counsel to clients regarding real estate matters, including zoning, land use, and regulatory compliance. Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including reviewing title reports, surveys, and environmental assessments. Advise clients on the structuring of real estate transactions and financing arrangements, including joint ventures, partnerships, and syndicated investments. Collaborate with clients, brokers, title companies, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve any issues that may arise. Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate laws, regulations, and market trends to provide strategic and effective legal advice. Assist with dispute resolution and litigation matters related to real estate transactions, if necessary. Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and legal support staff. Build and maintain strong client relationships and work to grow the firm’s real estate practice.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. Active and in good standing with the Kansas and Missouri state bars. A minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate transactional law. Experience with a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Strong understanding of real estate law, including property law, title issues, zoning, and land use. Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex transactions with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior attorneys. Client-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional legal service. Strong business acumen and understanding of the real estate market.
