Accounting Manager | $120,000 to $140,000 + Bonus | Health/Vision/Dental | 401k | PTO

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our clients accounting operations, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, mentor a team of accountants, and collaborate closely with business leaders to deliver accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 requirements and corporate accounting policies.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior accountants, fostering growth and development.
• Collaborate with finance directors to analyze financial statements and address accounting treatments and unusual variances.
• Review key balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity.
• Identify and implement scalable process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Prepare year-end and quarter-end audit schedules and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Address and resolve complex accounting issues promptly and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
• Participate in special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least seven years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
• CPA certification and public accounting experience highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing a team, including remote employees.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in various accounting software systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with publicly held companies preferred; manufacturing industry experience a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 10% within North America.
