As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Data and Analytics Office, you'll be a key player in our agile team. Job Responsibilities

  1. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  2. Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  3. Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  4. Lead the design and development of the cloud infrastructure offerings and platform tools, ensuring that they are secure, scalable, and reliable, serving as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus, and providing technical leadership and guidance to the cloud engineering team.
  5. Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  6. Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
  7. Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  8. Collaborates with development teams to enable the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloud.
  9. Identifies areas of improvement and prioritizes initiatives that align with business goals and objectives.
  10. Stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and brings in recommendations for adoption and implementation of new tools/technologies.
  11. Ensures compliance with security and regulatory requirements for the cloud.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  2. Hands-on experience with one or more cloud computing platform providers AWS/Azure/GCP.
  3. Advanced knowledge of Containerization and Container Runtime/Orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS etc).
  4. Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane & Cloud Formation etc.
  5. Proficiency with programming languages like Golang, Python, Java, JS/TS etc and understanding of software development best practices.
  6. Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring tools Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
  7. Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, shift left methodologies, and DevSecOps processes.
  8. Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  9. Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  10. Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  1. Experience implementing multi-cloud architectures.
  2. Certifications in target areas (Cloud/Kubernetes/IaC etc).
