Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES Apply practical skills, experience, and training in designing, configuring, deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and patching data center hardware and software. Manage and maintain systems including but not limited to Nutanix Hypervisor, VMware, Windows servers, Linux Red Hat, Ansible, Satellite, Veritas NetBackup, Microsoft System Center (SCCM), BeyondTrust, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and ScienceLogic. Perform key support functions for Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, ensuring compliance with established Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO). Support FISMA audits by implementing and maintaining high security and compliance standards across the data center environment. Oversee the configuration and administration of virtualization platforms, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Utilize tools like SCCM for efficient system management and deployment, including patch management and software distribution. Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) for enhanced security and configuration management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ITIL best practices in incident response, change management, and configuration management. Conduct regular system performance assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of critical infrastructure. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Fifteen (15) relevant experience Certifications: At least one of the following within 3 months of onboarding: HDI-CSR Microsoft 365: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate ITIL 4+ Foundation At least one of the following certifications prior to onboarding and the second certification within 6 months of onboarding: MCA Microsoft Azure Administrator RHCSA Linux Red Hat Certified System Administrator AWS SysOps Administrator Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA) Microsoft Certified: System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) VMware Certified Professional (VCP) At least one of the following prior to onboarding: CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ Education: Associate degree in a relevant field preferred Clearance: Must possess a Secret Clearance Overview
