FSQA Compliance Specialist

Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist An established & growing food company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist to join their team. Candidates must have FSQA experience. This role will focus on evaluating and ensuring supplier compliance with established food safety and documentation standards, offering a unique opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding team. Focus: Assess and verify the compliance status of existing and prospective suppliers, including those involved in both domestic and international processes. Oversee the management and review of a high volume of supplier audit reports, ensuring detailed evaluations for vendors with multiple operational facilities. Ensure adherence to documentation requirements for Importer of Record compliance. Manage and maintain compliance with Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) requirements. Conduct thorough reviews of both internal and external reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Create, revise, and maintain internal specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Leverage technical expertise in audit review and compliance validation, with comprehensive knowledge of both perishable and non-perishable goods. Manage a significant daily influx of compliance-related documentation while optimizing verification, escalation, and monitoring procedures. Lead the development of internal tracking systems and operational SOPs to ensure accurate and efficient vendor compliance management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet FSQA objectives and provide necessary support to achieve organizational goals. Skill Set: Bachelor’s degree in food science, quality assurance, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in food safety, quality control, or regulatory compliance, with at least two years preferred in the food or import sectors. HACCP, FSVP, & PCQI knowledge/certifications. Familiarity with food production processes, quality assurance frameworks, and industry standards. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
