Job Title: Estimator Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year Location: Fort Worth, TX Industry: Steel Fabrication and Erection Core Function :To be responsible for estimating project costs using customer-provided documents and drawings. This role involves ensuring accurate material, labor, and vendor cost estimations to meet project scope requirements . Responsibiliti es:Perform lump sum “takeoff” of material, labor, and vendor costs using design drawings and specificatio ns.Communicate with General Contractors to clarify project requirements and timelin es.Request and manage vendor quotes for materials and servic es.Review project specifications to ensure full scope coverage in estimat es.Provide the estimating manager with detailed Scope of Work, inclusions/exclusions, and qualifications for proposal submissi on.Track bid progress and follow up with contractors on bid awar ds. Requireme nts:High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree prefer red.Minimum of 5 years experience in the steel fabrication indus try.Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawi ngs.Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with Blue Beam and On-Screen Take off.Knowledge of AISC practices, construction standards, and procedures from award to close out.
