Quality Engineer (CNC high precision machining manufacturing) Our client is a global contract manufacturing company with multiple US locations, serving MedTech, Aerospace, and industrial end-market applications. Responsibilities: Develop and implement quality systems focusing on product returns, complaint management, and root cause and corrective action measures to drive CAPA and optimize new product development within a manufacturing environment. Analyze system data to identify major contributors to poor-performing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve quality activities. Serve as a subject matter expert for data acquisition and quality software such as QC Gage and QC Calc. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Analyze production and supplier nonconformance data to determine causes. Investigate customer returns to identify underlying root causes promptly. Enhance QMS procedures and documents to align with ISO standards. Conduct root cause analysis of CAPA processes using DMAIC methodology and 8D/5 Why tools. Coordinate and create PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and Capability Studies for customer deliverables and to improve manufacturing processes. Compile PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process), implement defect containment measures, and conduct root cause analysis. Independently create PFMEA, Capability Studies, and PPAPs for customer deliverables and process improvements. Review and verify engineering/customer prints and ensure familiarity with REACH and RoHS requirements. Qualifications Must-Have: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience. 5 years of Quality Engineering experience. Proficiency with measuring tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask. Basic knowledge of quality systems, statistics, and sampling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with high precision machining (± .0005). Nice to Have: Master’s degree or equivalent work experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of GD&T and engineering prints. Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems standards.
