Maintenance/Reliability Engineer Location : Holly Springs, North Carolina Duration : Contract Duration 6 months Work Schedule : Full-time, On-Site Position Overview: We are seeking a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer with a background in life sciences to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires expertise in planning and executing maintenance activities, optimizing reliability, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and a deep understanding of asset management in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and optimal asset reliability in a life sciences environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement preventative maintenance strategies and initiatives. Utilize CMMS to manage and track maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures, implementing corrective actions and strategies for continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA, cGMP, and other life sciences industry standards. Support maintenance optimization and reliability improvement initiatives. Perform data analysis to identify trends, reliability metrics, and KPIs related to equipment performance. Develop and maintain maintenance documentation, including SOPs, maintenance schedules, and logs. Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repairs of complex systems and equipment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or a related role, ideally within a life sciences or pharmaceutical environment. Strong hands-on experience with CMMS (e.g., Blue Mountain RAM, Maximo, or similar systems). Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, GMP, etc.) applicable to the life sciences industry. Proven track record of effectively managing and prioritizing maintenance work to meet operational goals. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with life sciences manufacturing environments or pharmaceutical equipment. Certification in reliability or maintenance engineering (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)). Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to support maintenance decision-making.
