Job Description
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate and correct shipping and receiving errors
- Update policies and procedures for warehouse
- Oversee warehouse training program for new hires
- Work with IT on scanner issues
- Work with Inventory to correct issues or inconsistencies
- Utilize camera system to locate issues with product, shipping/receiving, employee issues, etc.
- Assist with accident investigation where needed by the Safety Manager
- Work with Food Safety Manager to correct issues that may affect safety rating and audit results.
- Work with HR on personnel issues
- Hire/terminate and manage disciplinary action for supervisory staff
- Review and approve temporary staff based on business need.
- Review productivity of Repack department based on daily sheets
- Research and purchase warehouse packaging equipment
- Improve warehouse layout
- Reduce overtime
- Improve productivity
- Forecast staffing levels based on production year over year
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Administrative experience is required. Excellent communication and organization skills. Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel. Previous warehouse supervisory experience
WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
