DescriptionWe are on the lookout for a Controller to join our team in the industry located in San Diego, California, 92108, United States. As a Controller, you will be entrusted with the management of accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions. You will be a crucial part of providing accurate financial information to assist in making economic decisions about our future.Responsibilities:• Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Overseeing tax policies and ensuring the establishment of accurate tax practices• Managing tax functions such as preparation and submission of tax filings, tax audits, and tax research and analysis• Directing the preparation of financial reports, including monthly financial statements and compliance reports to lenders• Managing the annual financial statement audit• Collaborating with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate deductions and enforce internal controls related to hiring, termination, and rate changes• Overseeing the Payroll Manager and directing the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payment of all employees• Working closely with the CFO to provide timely and accurate communications to lenders, investors, and interested third parties• Utilizing various skills such as '3M', 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'CRM', 'Crystal Reports', 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Auditing', 'Budget Processes' to effectively execute your roleRequirements• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role such as Controller.• Proficiency with 3M and other relevant accounting software systems.• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable.• Familiarity with CRM and Crystal Reports is required.• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).• Proven experience in auditing is essential.• Demonstrable understanding and experience with budget processes.• Must have a strong ability to manage and oversee all accounting operations.• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.Job typePerm
