In this position, you will lead the development of processes throughout the Systems Engineering Lifecycle (ISO 15288), and partner with stakeholders across the business in Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Information Technology to build and optimize the organizational capabilities necessary for us to effectively deliver our nuclear products. You will lead the adoption of lean practices throughout the business, own our Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management solution, develop Model-Based Systems Engineering best practices, and facilitate training of our engineering staff.Job Profile Tasks/ResponsibilitiesLead the execution the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, without close supervision and extensive latitude for independent judgment.Teach and mentor more junior team members.Stay abreast of industry and academic trends, breakthroughs, and best practices.Work across engineering disciplines and the business to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of systems, processes, and the organization.Apply systems thinking and take a holistic approach to solve problems, analyze and design systems, considering the interdependencies and interactions between various components.Optimize processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, effectively use resources (time, money, materials, and energy), and improve productivity using methodologies like six-sigma and lean.Facilitate the collection, analysis, and modeling of data to make informed, data-driven decisions about system design and process improvements.Support engineering projects and programs throughout the systems engineering lifecycle to lead and manage efforts surrounding:Stakeholder and Operational analysisRequirement identification, decomposition, and managementFunctional decomposition and modelingLogical system architecture development and modelingPhysical product definition, interface management, and change controlDesign integration and testingSystem verification and validationConcept of operations development and modelingLead the identification and monitoring of technical risks and the development of risk mitigation strategies.Support value engineering activities including cost analyses, economic feasibility assessments, and cost reduction opportunity identification.Write and review engineering documentation, reports, and communicate technical details and project progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Develop and implement systems engineering processes, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools integrated into X-energy’s quality management framework.Create documentation for processes and standard operating procedures;
