Your Role: The Targeted mRNA Delivery (TMD) LNP formulation team is looking for a proactive and versatile individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. As a team member, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the leading scientists at EMD MilliporeSigma about LNP formulation and analytical techniques in a state-of-the-art research facility. In your daily tasks, you will be responsible for supporting a high-throughput formulation workflow, creating high-quality lipid nanoparticles, and analyzing them using various physical characterization tools. Clear communication will be essential as you collaborate with a larger cross-functional team to conduct experiments aimed at solving complex scientific challenges, ensuring that findings and insights are effectively shared. Additionally, you will have ample opportunities for learning and development, including mentorship from experienced scientists, participation in workshops, and access to resources that will enhance your skills in LNP formulation and characterization. Ultimately, your contributions will lead to the development of best-in-class lipid nanoparticles for the next generation. Responsibilities: Conduct experiments to formulate and characterize lipid nanoparticles, including size, stability, and encapsulation efficiency. Utilize various analytical techniques and conduct plate-based assays to evaluate the properties of lipid nanoparticles. Collaborate with senior researchers to optimize formulations based on experimental data. Maintain detailed laboratory records and documentation of experimental procedures and results. Support the preparation of research reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment. Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with over 2 years of industry experience; Master’s degree with more than 1 year of experience; or PhD degree with no prior experience required. Experience in formulation development, particularly with lipid-based systems, is preferred. Familiarity with analytical techniques used in nanoparticle characterization. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
