System Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Systems Architect for a full-time direct hire onsite opportunity in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Qualified candidates will have 8 years managing multiple operating systems, including VMWare and Windows, along with 2 years as an Architect. The Architect will architect, design, and deliver highly available, reliable, and cost-effective hosting solutions. Systems Architect job responsibilities include: Obtain requirements from end users, department heads or other IT discipline teams. Provide guidance, leadership, and technical expertise for all IT Hosting Services initiatives. Architect, solution and perform POC (Proof of Concept) testing and documentation. Work with other teams to create an architectural model before moving forward with POC. Document, implement and review IT Hosting Services policies, procedures, and solutions. Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster IT Hosting Services architecture discoveries. Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster effective Risk Management awareness, including disaster avoidance, change and problem management. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree 8 years’ experience with multiple operating systems, specifically VMWare or Windows in a large enterprise environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage in a matrix and global organization Technical skills in some of the following areas: VMware vCenter ESXi DRS vSAN SRM vRealize Orchestrator Ability to troubleshoot issues regarding VMware (vCenter, ESXi logs, Guest OS) Windows Server 2016 – 2022 Windows Deployment Services DFS Namespace and Replication Windows storage services (Deduplication, file shares, SMB/CIFS) Ability to troubleshoot issues on Windows (services, permissions, BSOD) Architecture Storage configuration (disks, clustering, file sharing, high availability) Network configuration (IP, firewalls) Other Windows Roles (Terminal Services, SMTP, IIS, .Net) If you are interested in this Systems Architect Role in Pleasant Prairie, WI, please click APPLY NOW.
