Automation Engineer

Job Title: Automation Controls Engineer Location: Houston Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs Provide hands-on support for diagnosing and resolving technical issues in automation Maintain, monitor, and improve existing automation systems to support 24/7 operations. Document programming logic, changes, and improvements Experience: 5 years as an Automation/Controls Engineer in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment. Proven expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC programming (Logix 5000, Studio 5000). Preferred Skills: Experience with SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus). Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on resolving complex automation and controls issues under tight deadlines. C2C candidates will not be considered.
