Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand assembly processes and develop innovative, automated solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Drive the development of creative solutions that transform and streamline existing assembly processes.

Work hand-in-hand with manufacturing operations and software/firmware engineers to leverage machine learning techniques for optimizing new assembly methods.

Lead the charge in automating fiber optic manufacturing processes, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the industry.

Requirements

Experience as a Lead Automation Engineer / Senior Automation Engineer / Automation Engineer

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, motion controls, robotics, or automation.

Experience with hardware design: WiFi, BLE, RFID, Zigbee, LoRa, HMI, FP

Expertise in inventing and implementing new automation processes and machines to significantly enhance assembly operations.

Proficiency in motion control, including stepper and servo motors, robotics, and collaborative robots.

Knowledge of sensor integration and signal conditioning, including computer vision, RFID sensing, and machine learning algorithms.

Experience in mechanical and hardware design, including Solidworks design and PCBA design and integration.

Commutable to Aurora, IL.
