We are searching for Procurement Specialist (IT Procurement) on behalf of our client. This is a 6-month contract assignment. (W-2) The ideal person is a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist with strong legal and contract negotiation expertise and in-depth knowledge of IT products, services, and telecommunications. The successful candidate will play a critical role in formulating procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the acquisition of IT hardware, software, and telecommunications services that align with the client’s strategic goals Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408 This is an onsite position 6-month contract assignment. (W-2) Key responsibilities include: Strategy Development: Formulate procurement strategies for acquiring IT hardware, software, and telecommunications services, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives. Vendor Research and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive research and evaluations of potential vendors to identify suppliers offering the best value, considering both cost and quality. Data-Driven Decision Making: Produce detailed procurement reports and analyses to support informed and data-driven purchasing decisions. Internal Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments to accurately understand their IT and telecommunications requirements, ensuring the timely and precise delivery of necessary products and services. Supplier Relationship Management: Manage ongoing relationships with suppliers through continuous communication and performance evaluations, establishing long-term contracts that are mutually beneficial. Legal and Contract Negotiations: Utilize strong legal knowledge and contract negotiation skills to draft, review, and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, focusing on securing favorable pricing, warranty terms, service-level agreements (SLAs), and liability clauses. Knowledge of IT Products, Services, and Telecommunications: Leverage strong knowledge of IT products, services, and telecommunications to make informed procurement decisions and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders. Requirements: Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and services Procurement expertise, including contract negotiation and supplier management Analytical skills to evaluate vendor proposals and identify cost-effective solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and vendors Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements A plus would be previous software sales and strong contract negotiations.
