Senior Business Systems Analyst Job Overview: The Senior Business Systems Analyst will design, implement, and support software solutions for key business functions, primarily in healthcare billing. The role requires understanding both technical and business concepts and effectively communicating with internal users, software developers, and stakeholders. You will define system objectives, develop functional specifications, analyze business requirements, and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders (billing, finance, implementation) to understand business goals. Document complex healthcare billing logic for various teams (development, QA, support, management). Address production issues, monitor product progress, and resolve billing challenges across the ecosystem. Work with lead analysts to create product roadmaps, analyze user preferences, and ensure readiness of user stories. Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release/upgrade planning. Participate in support meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address BAU and project-related issues. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop long-term solutions. Skills & Qualifications: Experience supporting billing systems. Ability to analyze complex issues and prioritize effectively, especially for time-sensitive tasks. Strong collaboration skills with technical staff, ETL developers, operations, and billing teams. Solid organizational skills and a team-oriented approach. Knowledge of product development architecture, including ETL processes. Proficiency in analytics tools and user-centered design principles. Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Experience in the insurance industry (healthcare, premiums, claims) is preferred. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile environments.
