Key Responsibilities: Case Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions by gathering and organizing evidence, drafting legal documents, and preparing case summaries. Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress, answering questions, and scheduling meetings. Legal Research: Conduct research on legal precedents, statutes, and case law relevant to personal injury claims. Document Management: Draft, review, and file legal documents, such as complaints, motions, and settlement agreements. Ensure all documents are accurate and comply with legal procedures. Case Tracking: Maintain and update case files, tracking deadlines and important dates to ensure timely filing and adherence to court schedules. Evidence Collection: Collect and organize evidence, including medical records, accident reports, and witness statements. Coordinate with medical professionals and experts as needed. Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with the court, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures. Client Intake: Conduct initial client interviews to gather information about their case and determine the merits of potential claims. Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; a bachelor’s degree or a paralegal certification Experience: Previous experience as a paralegal, particularly in personal injury law, is highly desirable. Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in legal research and document preparation Familiarity with legal software and case management systems Knowledge: Understanding of personal injury law, legal terminology, and court procedures.
