We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with experience in personal injury law to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting attorneys with various tasks associated with case preparation, litigation, and client management. Key Responsibilities: Case Management: Organize and maintain detailed case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible. Document Preparation: Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and correspondence related to personal injury cases. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress, answering inquiries, and gathering necessary documentation. Medical and Insurance Coordination: Communicate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other third parties to gather evidence, medical records, and other relevant case information. Legal Research: Assist attorneys with research on legal precedents, statutes, and case law as they relate to personal injury claims. Trial Support: Assist in trial preparation by preparing exhibits, coordinating witness testimony, and managing evidence for court hearings. Scheduling and Deadlines: Coordinate appointments, hearings, depositions, and meetings while ensuring all legal deadlines are met. Qualifications: Previous experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law. Strong understanding of personal injury law and legal procedures. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
