Our client is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join its Washington, D.C. office. Key Responsibilities: Conduct legal research, analyze documents, and identify key issues and relevant information; compile and prepare detailed documentation of findings. Perform legal and factual cite-checking, including preparing Tables of Authorities and Contents, shepardizing, and editing briefs to meet Bluebook standards and applicable court rules. Expert-level proficiency in cite-checking is required. Assist with depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations by coordinating the preparation of exhibits, appendices, and other materials. Summarize deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits. Manage all stages of litigation, including e-Discovery, e-filing, and trial preparation activities. Interact with clients, outside vendors, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to gather and exchange relevant information. Coordinate with outside contractors, such as court reporters and filing services, including processing related billing and disbursement paperwork. Serve as a liaison between the project team, support departments, and other firm offices. Organize and circulate case materials to the project team as needed. Handle court filings, mailings, and service of process with courts, government agencies, and other entities. Maintain electronic databases for pleadings, files, calendars, and other case materials.
