This position is required to be in the office 5 days a week. Only applicants that can commute to the client's location in New York City will be considered: Job Responsibilities: Management Liability Claims Analyst to help our client on a temporary four-month assignment and work from our New York City office. This position reports into our VP, Head of Private D&O Claims, also located in New York City. How You Will Make an Impact: Adjudicate complex Management Liability claims requiring specialized knowledge and expertise. Handle Securities and Employment Litigation Claims Report to claims trends and developments to senior management and underwriters Providing technical guidance, assistance, and training to lower level associates. Analyze claim forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions and other records to determine whether the loss falls within the policy coverage Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly. Interview involved parties Manage claims in litigation Manage diary timely and complete tasks to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution. Properly set claim reserves. Identify, assign, and coordinate the assignment and coordination of expertise resources to assist in case resolution. Prepare reports for file documentation Applying creative solutions which result in the best financial outcome. Negotiate settlements Responsible for telephone calls and written correspondence to/from various parties (insured, claimant, etc.). Qualifications: 3 years’ experience adjudicating management liability claims with exposure of $100,000 or more. Experience with Securities and Employment Litigation Claims or private D&O Active NY adjuster license A J.D. Degree from an accredited university is required. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to articulate the financial value of your work at multiple responsibility levels inside our clients’ business which may include the CEO. Proficient in MS Office Suite and other business-related software. Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills. The ability to read and write English fluently is required.
