Miller Johnson, one of Michigan’s largest full service law firms, is seeking an experienced full-time Probate & Estate Planning Legal Administrative Assistant for our downtown Grand Rapids office. Responsibilities: Coordinating administrative and legal practice tasks and projects for attorneys Calendaring and coordinating meetings, appointments, deadlines, tasks, and conference calls Preparing new client intake materials; opening new client matters; billing activities High volume client interaction by phone, email and in person Preparing, editing, proofreading, and assembling legal documents and correspondence Processing business, agency, and court forms Notarizing and/or witnessing documents as needed Requirements: Minimum of 2 years administrative experience required Estate planning experience preferred Advanced knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and PDF creation Excellent grammar, proofreading, and communication skills Knowledge of court and agency processes and procedures Exceptional client service, discretion, and judgment to ensure client confidentiality Self-motivated with the ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Proactive, organized and detail-oriented At Miller Johnson, we believe in fostering an exceptional work experience that includes a healthy work-life balance, an inclusive culture that values uniquely talented team members, and a technologically advanced environment.
