SCOPE OF WORK : Responsible for gathering intake information from prospective clients and determines if it’s a viable case. Signs prospective clients and sets up files in the Case Management system. Responsible for researching and contacting insurance companies to determine case coverage, ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Works with clients and manages their medical treatments on a daily basis · Work with attorneys directly with pre-suit files to ensure that all cases are moving forward. · Oversees & facilitates all contact with providers and funding companies. · Write, Print & facilitate any checks and check requests by the firm. · Emails out a list of all new cases for the week every Friday. (This list includes new cases, pending negotiation cases and settling cases.) · Mails out letters & checks to providers, clients and other misc. recipients. · Obtain client signatures on all pre-litigation documents & facilitates all client settlement (in-office) meetings. · Drafts client settlement sheets · Negotiate & draft all reduction requests to medical providers and health insurance companies. · Manages all subrogation for every settling case (litigation and pre-litigation settlements). Sends subrogation letters to all health insurance companies, drafting other necessary letters to medical providers, handling med pay claims and gathering medical ledgers & all health insurance plan languages. · Drafting medical summaries when depositions are scheduled, including a summary of the clients’ full treatment. · Verify all balances with medical providers. · Conduct a final case review with the client prior to sending a demand to the insurance company. (i.e., confirm the medical treatment they’ve received and ensure nothing is missing) · Handle most new case intakes & send all intake documents to clients for signatures. · Create client file on CasePeer & Dropbox. · Draft and send “Welcome Email” to all new clients. · Draft & mail insurance demands · Draft withdrawal letters. · Draft all misc. letters such as defendant letters, notices to bill health insurance, made-whole letters, 10-day letters, Notice of Demand letters, welcome letters, settlement emails etc. · Signing liens from medical providers in order to set-up clients with treatment PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION : · High School diploma or equivalent · Associates degree preferred in Business Management or related field · Minimum of 3.5 years’ experience working in a personal injury law firm · Project management skills required · Must have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work well in teams · Must be proficient in MS Office Suit (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Detailed and results oriented. Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience. Negotiable for more experienced applicants who can hit the ground running/require minimum onboarding. This is a Full-Time, W2 role.
