Do you have a knack for precision measurement and power tools? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly-skilled, reliable, and efficient Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to our operations, as our Maintenance Technician ensures that our facilities are running smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of maintenance processes and machinery operations.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:1. Performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.2. Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.3. Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.4. Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.5. Maintaining and repairing specialized equipment and machinery found in kitchens, laundries, fitness centers, shops, offices, and healthcare facilities.6. Using tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.7. Planning and laying out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.8. Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work done, including a schedule of routine maintenance procedures.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience working with electrical systems, machine operation, precision measurement, and power tools.2. A strong understanding of industrial control systems.3. Ability to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.4. Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and make system improvements as needed.6. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and explain job tasks to non-technical personnel.7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the capacity to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.8. High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.10.
