GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence) Engineer
to join our team. The GEOINT Engineer will play a critical role in supporting aviation operations by providing geospatial intelligence analysis, mapping, and data integration services. The successful candidate will work closely with operational, engineering, and intelligence teams to integrate GEOINT data into aviation mission planning, execution, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in geospatial technologies, remote sensing, and data analysis, with a strong understanding of aviation operations and their intelligence requirements. Examples of duties include but not limited to: Collect, analyze, and process geospatial data from a variety of sources, including satellite imagery, aerial reconnaissance, LiDAR, and other remote sensing technologies. Analyze and interpret geospatial data to provide actionable intelligence for aviation operations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date situational awareness. Support aviation missions by providing geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) products, including maps, charts, overlays, and geospatial data analysis to assist in mission planning and execution. Provide real-time geospatial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making in dynamic operational environments. Create and maintain digital maps, 3D models, and geospatial data visualizations to aid in aviation mission planning and post-mission analysis. Develop and maintain geospatial databases and ensure they are updated regularly with the latest available data. Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software (e.g., ArcGIS) to process, analyze, and visualize geospatial data. Integrate multiple geospatial datasets into coherent, usable formats for aviation and intelligence operations. Provide geospatial support for pre-mission planning, in-flight operations, and post-mission analysis, including the integration of geospatial data into aviation mission planning software. Coordinate with intelligence and operational teams to ensure that geospatial intelligence products meet mission-specific requirements. Design and integrate geospatial intelligence systems to support aviation operations, ensuring interoperability with other aviation and intelligence systems. Participate in system testing, validation, and integration efforts to ensure the effectiveness of geospatial tools and platforms. Collaborate with aircrews, intelligence analysts, operational teams, and engineers to provide geospatial intelligence products that support both tactical and strategic aviation objectives. Support the development and refinement of geospatial workflows, best practices, and standards for aviation operations. Provide training and mentorship to junior team members or operational personnel in geospatial data analysis, GIS software, and geospatial intelligence techniques. Prepare clear and concise GEOINT reports, technical documentation, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, intelligence officers, and aviation staff. Ensure that all GEOINT products comply with security standards and regulatory requirements. **This position is contingent upon award of contract** Qualifications
Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), GIS analysis, or remote sensing in a military, government, or aviation-related environment. Experience with aviation operations or defense-related programs is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with geospatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, KML, GeoJSON, raster data) and integration of geospatial data into operational systems. Familiarity with geospatial data collection methods, including satellite imagery, aerial surveys, LiDAR, and radar. Experience with geospatial data analysis, including spatial analysis, feature extraction, terrain modeling, and 3D visualization. GIS-related certifications (e.g., GISP, Esri Technical Certification) are highly desirable. SECURITY CLEARANCE:
