Peraton is seeking an experienced
SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) Engineer
to support our government aviation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, integration, and optimization of SIGINT systems for airborne platforms. This position requires expertise in signal detection, analysis, and processing, with a focus on enhancing intelligence gathering capabilities for aviation missions. The SIGINT Engineer will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of SIGINT technologies into aviation systems. Examples of duties include but are not limited to: Design, develop, and integrate SIGINT systems and components into aviation platforms to support mission-specific intelligence collection and analysis. Analyze signals of interest (SOI) from various RF (Radio Frequency) sources to identify and characterize communications and other electronic emissions. Work with mission planners and operational teams to define SIGINT system requirements and ensure alignment with operational needs and government objectives. Develop and optimize algorithms and signal processing techniques for enhanced detection, demodulation, and classification of RF signals. Conduct testing and performance evaluation of SIGINT systems on airborne platforms, ensuring operational readiness and reliability in various mission environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, systems engineers, and intelligence experts, to integrate SIGINT technologies effectively. Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving SIGINT system performance issues. Contribute to the development of advanced SIGINT technologies and approaches for use in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. Support the analysis and reporting of SIGINT data, providing actionable intelligence to senior government and military stakeholders. Assist in OCONUS deployments and field testing of SIGINT systems to ensure performance in real-world operational environments. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SIGINT technologies, RF systems, and emerging trends in electronic warfare and intelligence gathering. This position is contingent upon award of contract. Qualifications
Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. Minimum of 16 years of experience in SIGINT engineering, with at least 2 years supporting aviation platforms or ISR systems. In-depth knowledge of SIGINT principles, RF systems, and signal processing techniques. Experience with SIGINT data analysis tools and software for signal detection, demodulation, and analysis. Strong understanding of electronic warfare (EW) systems, communications systems, and RF spectrum management. Familiarity with aviation systems, avionics, and the integration of SIGINT technologies into airborne platforms. Proficient in designing and troubleshooting SIGINT hardware and software solutions. Ability to analyze complex SIGINT data and extract actionable intelligence. Experience working with government or military organizations, particularly in aviation or intelligence-gathering contexts. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and report technical findings. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience supporting SIGINT or ISR missions on government or military aviation programs. Expertise in modern SIGINT sensors, signal processing techniques, and RF technology. Familiarity with military standards, protocols, and regulations related to SIGINT and aviation systems. Prior experience with OCONUS field deployments and testing in operational environments. Advanced understanding of digital signal processing (DSP), machine learning, and data fusion techniques for SIGINT applications.
