Automation/Controls Engineer

Selectek is partnering with a company located in northeast Atlanta, Georgia to fill a senior-level Controls/Automation Engineer  role on a direct-hire basis. This client is seeking an experienced candidate to function in a hands-on role including project design, commissioning, and start-up of processing and packaging systems. Employment Type: Permanent Hire Expected Pay Range: $90,000-$110,000 annually plus bonuses, depending on experience Location: northeast Atlanta, GA Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) - 3+ years of experience  working in automation and controls design in a manufacturing environment - Process systems experience with food/beverage process and packaging or similar-type facilities - PLC programming and configuration using RSLogix5000 - HMI programming and configuration using FTView, Wonderware, GE Intellution, or Proficy - Application of A-B PowerFlex VFDs - Ideal candidates have significant motion experience with Rockwell systems and PlantPax or Batch expertise In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client’s request. Job Details: - Develop functional design specifications and logic narratives - Create system architecture including PLCs, HMIs, and networks for associated servers - Deploy systems at client sites and ensure a smooth start-up process - Direct design efforts for control panel fabrication and system installation - Manage project scope, budget, and schedule - Lead and manage field activities field activities during installation and startup at client sites - Ideal candidates can deliver projects on aggressive timelines while emphasizing safety requirements Schedule: Monday – Friday, normal work hours.
