Position Summary:

The Learning & Development Specialist will serve as the Learning Management System (LMS) subject matter expert and provide logistic and administrative support for the entire team. LMS tasks will include managing the course catalog and troubleshooting the system, updating the learning content uploads, providing training on the LMS, creating reports/analytics, test/implement LMS upgrades and enhancements, and maintaining the overall user experience.

Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

Your contribution to the team includes:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) by collaborating with a team of eLearning and development/production professionals, including maintaining the LMS content quality, version control, and archival information.
  • Provide end-user and sub-administrator troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance, and escalation management. Monitor reoccurring issues, system/data, or process gaps and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements.
  • Develop, build, and maintains all elements related to LMS functionality, including but not limited to content integrations and creation, curriculum programs, LMS structure, and reporting.
  • Develop standardized LMS operational processes and procedures, guidelines, and documentation and ensures the LMS governance model is being followed.
  • Ensure that learning content is running properly within the various learning platforms - without interruption, quality degradation, and without experiencing any avoidable technical issues that could diminish the overall user experience.
  • Provide administrative assistance and support for the Talent Pathways and Learning function.
  • Coordinate all logistical components of events/courses, including scheduling of spaces and equipment, printing materials, and assisting with pre and post set-ups; maintains ongoing communication with the owner of event/course.
  • Inform employees about available training opportunities to and provide necessary information.
  • Oversee in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Assist in monitoring learning cost and preparing budget reports to justify expenditures.
  • Assist with data collection for the annual Learning and Development Report.
  • Assist in the of planning, organizing and the coordination of the annual employee learning week.
Must have's you'll need to be successful:
  • High School or GED and one (1) to three (3) years of experience in training and development and hands-on LMS administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record determined by HealthPoint's insurance carrier.
  • Possess basic operating knowledge of computers. Beginning level of Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and Learning Management System (LMS) knowledge required. Intermediate level preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and other complex documents. Ability to write routine correspondence such as letters and memos. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal and/or external clients.
Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. If you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, we ask that you provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series. All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.

  • If you are providing immunizations from an electronic health record, please ensure that you obtain a copy of your full records rather than a screenshot. Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled.
  • If records do not show any data, please seek guidance from your provider for further assistance.
  • If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you can choose to have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or to be re-vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you. This is a great opportunity to get your immunization record up to date at no additional expense.
