Job Description Job Profile: We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead specializing in SAP Ariba, SAP FICO, and Vertex to join our IT GandA delivery team. This role is essential for implementing, optimizing, and supporting ERP solutions that enhance finance, procurement, and tax functions across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional and technical expertise, extensive hands-on experience with solution design and delivery, and the leadership skills to mentor and guide teams in a dynamic, agile environment. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design and Delivery Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of solutions within SAP Ariba, SAP FICO, and Vertex to meet evolving business needs in finance, procurement, and tax functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and drive implementations that align with organizational goals. Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP and Vertex systems, providing functional and technical guidance to ensure optimal system usage and integration. Manage end-to-end solution delivery, from configuration and testing to deployment and post-deployment support, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering a high-quality product. Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving incidents, ensuring timely recovery and minimizing disruption to business operations. Technical Leadership: Develop and maintain standards, templates, and documentation for finance, procurement, and tax systems, ensuring the consistency and quality of deliverables. Set and enforce high standards for solution design and delivery, ensuring compliance with best practices and enterprise architecture standards across SAP and Vertex solutions. Lead and mentor cross-functional and outsourced technical teams, with a focus on Agile/Scrum framework to deliver complex, multi-functional solutions on time and within scope. Serve as the technical authority within Agile Scrum teams, facilitating collaboration between business stakeholders, developers, and external partners. Implement robust quality assurance processes to verify that all technical solutions meet the required standards. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to streamline processes for finance, procurement, and tax teams, optimizing system performance and scalability. Proactively identify and recommend system and process improvements to enhance performance, user experience, and efficiency. Champion the adoption of new functionalities, tools, and methodologies to future-proof ERP systems and keep them aligned with strategic business objectives. Stay updated on industry trends, SAP and Vertex advancements, and relevant emerging technologies. Required Competencies: Strong capability in translating business needs into actionable technical requirements and end-to-end solution designs. Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to analyzing complex processes and requirements. Proven experience leading project teams and managing third-party vendors, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in a collaborative, results-driven environment. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and manage projects in a fast-paced Agile setting. Strong accountability and a detail-oriented mindset, with an urgency to deliver quality results. Skilled at fostering cross-functional collaboration across finance, procurement, tax, IT, and external vendor teams. Proficient in establishing and enforcing technical standards and architectural principles. Ability to manage complexity in large organizations with a diverse system landscape. Continuous learning mindset to stay informed on emerging trends, best practices, and industry standards. Experience Requirements: Finance Systems : Minimum 8 years of experience with SAP FICO modules, with deep knowledge of financial accounting, controlling processes, and integration with other SAP modules. Expertise in configuring and supporting modules for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and cost center accounting is required. Experience in integrating FICO modules with other SAP modules such as SAP MM and SAP SD to support end-to-end financial processes is essential. Tax Systems : 5 years of hands-on experience working with tax automation solutions like Vertex or similar tax compliance tools. Knowledge in configuring multi-jurisdictional tax setups, reporting, and ensuring compliance with evolving tax regulations is essential. Procurement Systems: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Ariba, particularly in indirect procurement, sourcing, and supplier lifecycle and management. The role requires proficiency in configuring and deploying SAP Ariba solutions, with a focus on integrating procurement processes with SAP FICO and tax systems for seamless end-to-end process flows.
