ECHO is hiring a new South-Central Regional Sales Manager for our IPE (Industrial Power Equipment) division! The South-Central Regional Sales Manager - IPE, will be responsible for a territory in the South-Central Region of the United States. This remote position is ideally based in Houston, TX, and will encompass coverage of NM, CO, KS, OK, MO, AR, LA, and MS. The Regional Sales Manager-IPE will possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. He/she will receive a company paid vehicle for the domestic travel associated with this role. Travel is estimated to be around 60%.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Establishes distribution networks for sales, servicing, and rentals across all markets to maximize market penetration by engaging with relevant companies and major contractors in the assigned region.
  • Actively engages with existing and potential customers in the designated territory to foster relationships and explore new business prospects.
  • Acquires a comprehensive understanding of competitors and their sales approaches.
  • Conducts machinery demonstrations and presentations at customer sites to showcase functionality and advantages through on-site showcases and presentations.
  • Participates in trade shows and aids in the setup and dismantling of exhibition displays.
  • Assists in implementing the strategic sales plan to meet sales targets and expand market presence in the assigned territory and key sectors.
  • Contributes to the formulation of sales plans necessary to achieve annual objectives.
  • Collaborates with the Sales Manager to identify, assess progress, and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Monitors and evaluates sales performance metrics to ensure attainment or surpassing of targets.
  • Implements effective sales tactics to enhance revenue generation and market share.
  • Cultivates and sustains strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and influencers within targeted accounts.
  • Works closely with customers to grasp their requirements, propose tailored solutions, and ensure satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Generates lists of potential customers using various sources like newspapers, directories, ads, trade shows, websites, etc.
  • Provides regular reports on business performance relative to plan, activity levels, and planned initiatives driving business outcomes.
  • Supports internal needs for forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and expectations related to new product development.
Job Experience/Skills:
  • Proficiency in comprehending documents such as safety guidelines, operation manuals, and procedural instructions.
  • Capable of producing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective oral communication skills for addressing customer groups or organizational staff.
  • Able to handle incoming service and troubleshooting calls efficiently to promptly resolve customer issues.
  • Perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Application of basic algebraic and geometric principles.
  • Skilled in solving practical problems and managing various variables in situations where standardization is limited.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule forms.
  • Proficient in utilizing computers and business software like Microsoft Office for communication and information analysis purposes.

Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (mechanical/electrical related).
