Summary:

The Guest Room Attendant performs the daily cleaning of a minimum of seventeen (14) Credits during their shift, ensuring the cleanliness of each room is up to established standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Sorts, counts, folds, marks and carries linens.
  2. Makes beds.
  3. Replenish and/or replace supplies such as drinking glasses, stationary, TV guides, casino information flyers, menus, matches, etc.
  4. Sweeps, scrubs and vacuums floor.
  5. Cleans upholstered furniture.
  6. Cleans guest room bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, vanity area, mirrors and floors.
  7. Dusts and/or cleans furniture, such as the televisions, dressers, chairs, headboards, air conditioning units, vanity, phone, mirrors, wall and ceiling lamps, picture frames, etc.
  8. Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  9. Empties wastebaskets and ashtrays.
  10. Replenishes bathroom supplies, including toilet paper, tissue, soap, shampoo, etc.
  11. Ensures all items in the room are in working order, including television, lights, air conditioning unit, telephone, alarm clock, drapes, luggage rack, etc.
  12. Assists Guests with any questions they may have or requests.
  13. Maintain an open line of communication with Supervisors and Managers concerning all Housekeeping and Guest Service related issues.
  14. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow Team Members, Guests and Vendors.
  15. Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  16. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in housekeeping in a similar casino/hotel environment preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Micros or similar POS software experience preferred.

MACHINERY USED

GRA cart, vacuum, cleaning supplies.
