Project Engineer - (Hybrid)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary Range: $72,800 - $90,000
- Location: Los Angeles County (El Segundo, CA) - Hybrid

KKCS is seeking a Project Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This hybrid position offers an excellent opportunity to work on exciting civil infrastructure projects while enjoying flexibility and a collaborative work environment for projects with FTA, LA Metro, Metrolink, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists Project Manager and project team in developing, implementing, and monitoring project/program.
- Assists by reviewing, investigating project materials such as submittals, invoices, etc.
- Assists in coordinating, preparing and maintaining records of progress meetings, RFIs and submittals.
- Establishes and maintains job record files for assigned projects per the Project Manager.
- Assists in coordinating schedule and progress reviews with scheduling engineers, contractor representatives, project manager, and others as required.
- Performs other project-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
- Prepare, review, and manage engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Support cost estimation, scheduling, and project control activities.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software such as Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of project management tools, such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- EIT certification or progress toward obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Experience with public agency projects or familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Hands-on experience with field inspection or construction oversight.
