Location: Hybrid - one day a week onsite in St. Paul, MN

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Process Mapping Business Analyst to join our team. This role involves analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process mapping and a strong background in business process analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gathering Data: Conduct interviews with stakeholders, observe workflows, and collect data on process steps, timings, and decision points to understand current business processes thoroughly.
• Process Mapping: Utilize tools like flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, and BPMN notation to create visual representations of processes, clearly depicting the sequence of activities and decision points.
• Analyzing Process Data: Identify areas of inefficiency, redundancy, delays, and potential cost reductions within the mapped processes.
• Identifying Improvement Opportunities: Propose solutions to address issues discovered in process analysis, such as automation, simplification, or re-designing workflows.
• Facilitating Process Improvement Workshops: Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and collaboratively develop process improvement plans.
• Documenting Process Changes: Create clear and concise documentation of revised processes, ensuring proper implementation and training.

Requirements:

• Education: A 2-4-year degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in process mapping.
• Proficiency in using process mapping tools and techniques to create accurate and detailed visual representations of workflows.
• Public Service experience and Grant Management experience.

Skills:

• Process Improvement: Proficiency in enhancing existing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions from process information.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels to gather information, present findings, and gain buy-in for process improvements.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with relevant software tools like Microsoft Visio, BPMN modeling tools, and data analysis platforms.
• Technical Writing: Experience in writing technical documentation, including the creation of clear and concise artifacts for processes, procedures, and reports.
• Problem Solving Skills: Ability to identify root causes of process issues and develop practical solutions.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in project management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software, like Salesforce and NetSuite.
