The Assistant Director of Marketing is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization's marketing administrative and operational tasks. This individual will conduct market research and create marketing content and collateral, including visual design, copywriting, and presentation of communication materials for St. Coletta of Wisconsin. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Development, the specialist will produce branded and visually appealing products that support the organization's efforts and communicate its mission effectively across multiple channels.

- An in-depth understanding of design and graphic techniques, including Adobe Creative Suite (specifically In-Design), photography, videography, and WordPress design/administration.
- Basic understanding of Media and Public Relations, content marketing, social media best practices, SEO, and Google Ads.
Marketing and Public Relations:
- Assists and supports the Marketing Department in producing and copy-editing a wide range of marketing collateral, including blogs, and social media content, managing media relationships, and analyzing data.
- Develops and deploys traditional and digital advertising strategies, campaigns, and promotions in conjunction with marketing initiatives.
- Assisting with planning, executing, and implementing marketing events and campaigns across different channels (direct mail, email, social media, website).
- Proficiency in social media platforms and marketing automation tools.
- Tracking campaign performance metrics like website traffic, lead generation, and social media engagement.
Create engaging visual content for marketing and presentation materials, including flyers, brochures, fundraising appeals, and digital assets.
Design graphics for social media platforms, email campaigns, and event promotions.
Content Creation & Editing:
- Write, edit, and produce content for the nonprofit's annual publication, newsletters, and other written communications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
- Manage and schedule content across various social media platforms to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Monitor social media analytics to track performance and optimize campaigns.
- Oversee and update website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and drive traffic.
- Capture and edit high-quality photographs for marketing materials, website, and social media.
- Document nonprofit events and activities through photography.
- Assist in the development of email marketing campaigns and other outreach efforts.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of special marketing projects, including events, as needed.
- Highly collaborative, works in tandem with the Director of Marketing, assists other marketing and development team members with design needs and project coordination.
- Assist with design projects for special committees and other departments.
- Collaborates with vendors to ensure a quality product and the lowest production cost under budget.
- Assists with other marketing activities and organizational duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of an Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred in marketing or graphic design or similar study from an accredited college or university. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in graphic design, marketing, video and photography work. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, and SEO tools. An equivalent combination of training or experience may be considered.
Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to create and write correspondence effectively in a highly professional manner.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Design Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products; experience with Social Media Platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram; and the ability to create and edit videos.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license with a past driving record that meets the standards set forth by the organization.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships. Ability to work as a team player and individually under tight deadlines and have the ability to prioritize and multitask.
