Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce quality results. The Heavy Equipment Operator operates large equipment including cranes, excavators, tractor backhoes, bulldozers, and other machinery as needed for commercial and/or heavy construction. Must have 3 years experience operating relevant equipment (crane, excavator or bulldozer). Ideal candidates adhere to company safety standards and take pride in their work. Responsibilities:Safely and proficiently operates all heavy equipmentPerforms operator maintenance on all heavy equipment on the job siteOversees rigging and ensures safe lifting procedureLayout and complete excavations for structures and pipe trenches at depths up to 40'Installs earth retention and dewatering systemsAssists in installation of batter boards, setting lines, grades, offsets, and elevationsEstablish and transfer benchmarksRigging and signaling (crane/excavator communications)Read and interpret blueprintsPerform other construction duties as neededKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements:Safety knowledge and skillsKnowledge and skill operating crane, excavator, bulldozer, and tractor backhoeCDL or ability to obtain CDLNCCCO crane certification or ability to obtain certificationBlueprint readingOperate transit & laser levelProper use and maintenance of heavy equipmentCrane/excavator signalingAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to climb and work up to 30' heightsMinimum Qualifications Required at time of Application:Must have three years heavy equipment operating (in relevant equipment) experience or apprentice program graduate or other equivalent education experience. Ability to occasionally lift 100#, climb and work at 30' heights, ability to travel up to 300 miles and stay overnight 3-4 days per week. Knowledge of or working with wastewater or water treatment is a plus.
