Securitization Origination Vice President

Overview : Top European Bank with a strategic focus on significantly expanding its U.S. corporate and investment banking franchise is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Securitization professional to contribute to the development and build out of its Securitization financing platform. This role will focus on client marketing, transaction origination & execution, risk evaluation and client transaction management. The business intends to focus on all traditional ABS assets including accounts receivables, auto and equipment loan & leases, consumer installment loans and credit cards, cell phone device receivables and other flow assets. The individual will collaborate closely with the Head of Securitization, the Bank’s coverage officers, Risk team and senior management to develop new business and support the strategic growth of the business. Key Responsibilities: Originate and execute securitization financing transactions for BBVA CIB clients across traditional and esoteric asset classes. Prepare and present client marketing pitches and financing proposals (term sheets, RFP responses, etc). Work with coverage officers to identify securitization opportunities across asset classes and industries and support the preparation of transaction return and risk evaluations. Coordinate legal document preparation, review and negotiation with in-house and external legal counsel . Evaluate client portfolio data and prepare financial models. Support the drafting of credit proposals and work closely with the Risk department seeking approval for transactions. Ongoing management of existing client transactions including support for amendments, renewals and waivers. Remain informed on transaction performance and trend analysis. Support internal projects and strategic initiatives relevant to the Securitization team. Act as a liaison for the Securitization team managing inquiries and flow of information related to the product with all internal stakeholders. Represent BBVA and the Securitization team at industry conferences and events. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify and support relevant product cross sell with clients where applicable. Recruit, train and mentor junior securitization team members. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in securitization financing-related role at a financial institution active in the ABS market. Demonstrated experience originating and executing securitization financing transactions across a variety of traditional securitized asset classes. Understanding of securitization rating methodologies and related data analysis. In-depth knowledge of risk assessment tools, transaction modelling approaches and data analytics. Familiarity with typical securitization financing legal documentation. Understanding of securitization regulatory standards including risk weight and capital calculations associated with securitization transactions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Effective client relationship and transaction management capabilities. Strong communication skills needed to effectively convey complex information to senior management and risk partners. With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $170,000 to $225,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
