Job Summary:
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy. This role will manage the HR department budget, collective bargaining agreements, labor, and employee relations, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local HR laws and regulations.
Functions and Duties:
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Oversees, develops, and executes guidelines and best practices for hiring and talent management.
Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure the effective sourcing and retention of talent.
Cultivates a culture of excellence and developing clear objectives for talent acquisition.
Provide functional guidance to all TRH employees; including career counseling, compensation, interpersonal relations, and dispute resolution.
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, morale; training and development.
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies on human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Maintain and implement TRH Personnel policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain employee handbook.
Oversee the compensation programs within TRH to include salary survey participation, salary adjustments and compensation programs. Evaluate and revise job descriptions and performance evaluations as necessary.
Develops and implements departmental budget.
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR department.
Produces and presents regular metrics and reports on retention, talent needs, acquisitions, and plans.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment and insurance laws and regulations.
Ability to recognize the need and develop strategic programs that positively impact the organization.
Negotiation and interpersonal skills are required to persuade and guide people inside and outside the organization that do not have a direct reporting relationship.
Ability to lead and manage others and tasks effectively.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and mange time efficiently, must have good organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Personal leadership and supervisory skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft.
Ability to handle job-related stress effectively.
Education and Experience:
Minimum ten years of Human Resources experience in all HR disciplines with increasing management responsibility is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master of Business Administration degree preferred.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
