Description
Acara Solution is seeking an R&D Engineer to join our client located in Brea, CA on a long-term contract opportunity.
Payrate: $50-60/hr.
Position Overview : We are looking for an R&D Engineer with expertise in 3D printing technologies to drive research and development for orthodontic fixed appliance products. The role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, product quality, and developing new solutions using additive manufacturing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative orthodontic products to market.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the development of new orthodontic product ideas based on market trends and technology advancements.
Serve as an expert in 3D printing, particularly SLA printing, to optimize production and product performance.
Conduct research and improve 3D printing methods and materials.
Collaborate with engineers to validate designs and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Solve complex manufacturing and quality issues and propose solutions to improve processes.
Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Lead small to medium projects, ensuring goals and deadlines are met.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Ph.D., Master's, or bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
3 years minimum experience within 3D printing technologies.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of material science (ceramics, polymers, metals) and medical device manufacturing is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Proficient in MS Office and statistical methods.
