Overview BTI Security is actively looking for a full-time, Human Resources Generalist. This is an on-site position at our corporate headquarters office in Rockville, MD. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for fostering a great working environment, employee retention, career development and human resources productivity; as well as recruiting, interviewing processes, onboarding, employee record keeping and compensation/benefits.

The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the human resources team and executive leadership to meet the department's overall objectives, in alignment with the company's HR principles, practices, and initiatives. This is a hands-on role that involves both tactical and strategic HR efforts. The position is full-time and reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager.

Job Skills / Requirements Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices. Conduct new hire orientation, benefit review sessions and relevant group sessions as needed. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting new hire orientations and exit interviews. Maintain accurate employee records and data collection using HRIS systems. Support and lead other organizational initiatives, projects and priorities as needed and as assigned. Diligence in staying informed about HR trends and regulations is essential for ensuring effective HR operations. Perform other duties as assigned. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

Considerable knowledge of human resource law, principles and practices. Considerable knowledge of Employee Relations. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication skills and team-oriented outlook. Ability to read, analyze, and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (e.g. TEAM Software) and Microsoft products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong skills in using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and possess the flexibility to thrive and be successful in a rapidly growing company that values an individual’s ability to play a variety of key roles. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively (both verbally and in writing) with and support all levels of employees and management. Ability to stay focused, prioritize, multi-task, and keep organized with attention to detail and follow-up. Ability to be dependable in completing work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

At least five (5) years of varied Human Resources Experience. Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of college with combined experience. Excellent customer service and client relations. Full understanding of HR functions and best practices. Technically savvy – Expert level working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
