JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE:
Senior Manager of Information Technology Services

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The Senior Manager of Information Technology plans, directs and manages the IT Department to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future decision-making requirements. As a Senior Manager, the incumbent provides agency-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for data processing and related functions (communication, office systems, connectivity, etc.).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Identify technology needs and make recommendations to key business partners.
Provide input to the strategic direction of IT, directly influencing the business direction in new and existing products and systems as well as upcoming integration.
Develop IT business plans that support both the long-term and the short-term objectives of the agency.
Serve as the lead/main point of contact regarding Cyber Security.
Maintain project controls that accurately reflect completed work against project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure user/management involvement at appropriate milestones.
Work with Key Business partners to identify organizational-wide projects assigning timelines, scope, support, and resources.
Oversee all Help Desk Activities.
Manage inventory, hardware, software programs, and peripheral equipment in the IT department.
Work cooperatively with the Executive team to ensure programs, applications, and support are aligned with the needs of the organization.
Direct the implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems including system requirements, procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
Review agency program IT budgets ensuring the maximum value is provided to the agency.
Ensure users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service.
Structure, lead, train, and develop IT staff for maximum effectiveness.
Coach, support, and develop individual staff members and make decisions related to personnel matters.
Supervise and mentor College Work Study students, volunteers, and interns.
Develop and maintain the agency Disaster Recovery Plan.
Establish IT policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.
Maintain knowledge of developments in the area of trends, regulations, systems, and hardware and incorporate new developments into the future systems of the company.
Maintain direct communications with senior and middle management.
Manage budget and other fiscal affairs of the department.
Serve as the lead implementing company-wide technology updates.
Manage vendors, contractors, and third-party affiliates working closely with the IT department.
Monitor Agency vehicle online GPS system for vehicles assigned to program, address GPS system-generated notifications of unsafe driving behavior with employee timely and administer proper form of discipline per appropriate policy with employee timely.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with emphasis on Management Information Systems required.
Minimum Years of Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in managing IT, preferably in a not-for-profit agency. Must have at least 5 years of experience managing exempt employees. 8+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects.
Demonstrated Skills:
Must possess strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with little or no direction. Ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

An active Driver's License in good standing is required upon hire and throughout employment.
ADA COMPLIANCE Physical Ability:
Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).
Sensory Requirements:
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds. Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communication ability.
Environmental Factors:
Tasks are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, violence, disease, or pathogenic substances.
