When you become an employee at the Community Renewal Team (CRT), you will join a host of others with an average tenure of nine years of service. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Clean shelter daily according to shelter housekeeping and maintenance list.
  • Report all damage or repair needs to supervisor.
  • Stock hygiene and cleaning supplies including toilet paper, paper towels, soap and disinfectant.
  • Supervise client maintenance volunteers.
  • Use proper safety techniques and comply with all organization safety procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of all custodial supplies.
  • Will work a varied schedule including evenings, nights and weekends.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Attend and complete all mandatory trainings.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM TRAINING EXPERIENCE AND HEALTH CERTIFICATIONS

Education: High school graduate or GED.

Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year experience custodial work preferred.

Physical and TB Required: YES required prior to appointment.

ADA COMPLIANCE

Physical Ability: Tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).

Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate depths. Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.

Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed with potential exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as strong odors, fumes, dusts, wetness, humidity, machinery, and toxic/poisonous agents. Risk of exposure to Tuberculosis and other contagious diseases. Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
