A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a dedicated and skilled General Liability Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of relevant litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending cases involving various types of liability and will be adept at handling depositions, court hearings, and trial preparation. This role requires comprehensive experience in defense, particularly in areas such as trucking, cranes, construction defects, product liability, medical malpractice, and premises liability. Duties: Defend clients in general liability cases, including those related to trucking, cranes, construction defects, product liability, medical malpractice, and premises liability. Conduct depositions of liability and damages experts, parties, and fact witnesses. Attend court hearings, and mediations, and assist in trial preparation. Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. Ensure compliance with guideline reporting and contemporaneous billing. Manage and maintain case files, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. Provide legal advice and strategy recommendations to clients and senior attorneys. Requirements: 2-5 years of relevant litigation experience in general liability. Proven experience in defending liability claims and handling depositions. Experience in attending court hearings, mediations, and trial preparation. Background in defense work related to trucking, cranes, construction defects, product liability, medical malpractice, and premises liability. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in legal research and drafting. Ability to handle complex legal issues and work independently. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Proficient in case management software and legal research tools.
