The Senior Project Manager will lead enterprise efforts to establish, forecast, implement and monitor activities associated with logistic cost saving and process improvement initiatives in support of the Lakota Program. This includes coordinating activities across all departments, establishing planning, providing risk assessment analysis, reviewing budgets, full implementation into the organization, and validating cost savings monitoring post implementation. The Senior Project Manager is expected to make best-in-class efforts to establish, implement and monitor activities associated with the Lakota fleet, coordinating all involved departments; establishing, monitoring, and revising schedules and budgets; tracking and handling changes; supporting the writing of contracts and leading their execution; assessing and mitigating risks. Stakeholder Management: 35% Work with various cross-functional teams to bring projects to completion on schedule, on budget, and with quality. Ensure that all project team members understand the scope of their commitment, feel committed to their budget and schedule inputs, feel engaged and dedicated, can voice concerns, and are informed of project status and next steps ahead. Ensure AHI CLS team is aligned and prepared to implement projects. Maintain documentation for regular reporting at Executive Staff Meetings, Information Exchange Reviews (IER), and other technical exchange meetings. Act as the primary interface for implementation of Logistics projects throughout the Lakota team and across other organizations when required. Create and provide documentation in support of projects to ensure smooth implementation throughout the organization, including training material and troubleshooting support. Customer Management: 20% Focus on customer experience and manage-to-contract. Handle difficult and sensitive situations with finesse. Schedule: 15% Track project timelines on an ongoing basis and update with actual start/finish dates. Make schedule adjustments based on changing project requirements. Keep project team, customer, and leadership informed on changing project targets. Responsible for successful on-time/on-budget project completion. Perform resolution and risk mitigation with Grand Prairie management personnel. Budget: 15% Develop project budgets with inputs from functional departments in MS Excel and MS Access Database. Verify inputs from functional departments using actuals from previous similar projects. Check overall validity of budget inputs. Adjust budget based on change orders. Gather costs and track budget expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities. Contract Management: 15% Track contractual changes, including change order management reflected in schedule and budget adjustments. Interpret contractual requirements. Create and propose value propositions for approval and execution of projects, identifying key opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Your boarding pass: Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or Program Management or equivalent experience. Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience: Required: Six (6) years in aerospace project management, including Logistics/Supply Chain management or equivalent. Five (5) years working within cross-functional teams/matrix organizations. Financial experience for budgeting purposes. Technical experience to comprehend technical data packages. Preferred: None. Licensure/Certifications: Required: N/A Preferred: Project/Program Management Certification. Travel Required: 20% Domestic and International. Citizenship: US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license). Clearance: None. Qualified Skills: Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Required: Experience with Department of Defense programs or equivalent commercial FAA related experience. Proven ability to ensure execution among a complex multi-company, multi-national team. Ability to multi-task efficiently to ensure desired outcomes. A high level of integrity and understanding of the importance of protecting the interests of the company while assuring customer satisfaction. Must have financial experience to budget this activity (~$20M). Ability to perform activity analysis, plan adjustment, and financial control. Technical knowledge to forecast and identify product improvements. Strong leadership skills and proactive approach. Successfully works in matrix/cross-functional roles.
