In this role, you will as the lead water resource stormwater engineer to evaluate stormwater site conditions and develop hydrologic and hydraulic models and design of BMPs, including drainage reports, and contract/bid documents; and work collaboratively with other design disciplines to provide integrated solutions and business development opportunities. This role reports to and works closely with the Stormwater Business Class Lead, and works with the transportation, stormwater, fisheries, and other water resources groups. Our team focuses on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design for stormwater management projects and infrastructure, flood mitigation, water quality, erosion mitigation, fish passage, stream restoration, with opportunities to work on all project phases from master planning, design, and construction. The primary responsibility of the Water Resources Stormwater Engineer will be to provide stormwater engineering, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and design services to for transportation, roadways, stormwater related projects. This role is responsible for planning and design of stormwater and hydraulic design elements including, but not limited to: Assistance with comprehensive stormwater management planning; Understanding of regional stormwater regulations and stormwater design manuals; Relationships with local stormwater clients and professionals; Study and design of stormwater management facilities; Storm sewers; Best management practices (BMPs) for water quality treatment; Hydrologic and stormwater/drainage modeling, Technical memo and report writing, Stormwater regulatory and permitting process. Perform watershed and water quality assessments and BMP prioritization Developing of regional, and comprehensive stormwater management plans Develop and maintain relationships with clients and professionals Prepare materials for and lead presentations Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater/drainage models Engineering report and memo preparation Mentor and train junior staff Perform other duties as needed #LI-JM8 Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field Previous experience in water resources engineering projects Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, storm drain system analysis Excellent oral and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
