As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
The AWS Identity organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our team building innovative cloud-based identity and access management services. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will collaborate with talented engineers to create and deploy systems and services to meet the needs of our customers. Key Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Design, implement, test and deploy highly scalable distributed systems and services Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions while understanding system interdependencies and limitations Share knowledge of effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods Create clear, maintainable, well-documented code that meets coding standards and best practices Participate in code reviews, source control management, build processes, release management, and operations Work closely across teams and disciplines to deliver high-quality products and services BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Experience building large-scale distributed systems and cloud services Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
