As the FOH Manager, you will ensure the smooth operation of our corporate dining cafe for one of the world's largest tech companies by managing the Front-of-House team and overseeing daily operations. You will serve as the primary liaison between all stakeholders, including the FOH team, management, and culinary personnel, ensuring efficiency and excellence in every aspect of service. This role may require flexibility to oversee operations across multiple sites, showcasing your adaptability and leadership skills. Act as a host, setting an example of outstanding service standards. Conduct quality assurance checks on FOH-prepared items (e.g., coffee, juices). Maintain consistent team operations, including compliance with legal and safety requirements. Attend menu meetings and prepare weekly menus in collaboration with chefs. Create and post menu signage, including allergen and ingredient details. Inspect stations for proper preparation and presentation before, during, and after service. Create and communicate weekly schedules for the FOH team. Provide ongoing training in HACCP, Food Safety, Health & Safety, allergens, and OSHA compliance. Conduct weekly meetings with FOH teams to align on goals and updates. Collaborate with HR to recruit FOH employees actively. Monitor operational tools and applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Record and report daily meal consumption data to management. Address equipment, cleanliness, and operational issues promptly. Manage FOH operations to meet client and guest satisfaction across multiple cafes. Collaborate with culinary personnel to implement processes and standards. Oversee orders, inventory, and equipment needs for FOH operations. Develop and refine policies, procedures, and training programs. Ensure sustainability is integrated into daily operations. Consistently seek ways to streamline and improve FOH efficiency. Knowledge & Skills Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities. Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Food knowledge, including industry terms, safety standards, and allergens. Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft, and other digital tools. Ability to delegate effectively and thrive under pressure in diverse environments. Education & Experience Minimum 5 years in a similar role. Minimum 10 years of hospitality experience. Strong knowledge of food and corporate kitchens. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or management preferred. Experience managing large teams in fast-paced kitchen or cafe settings. Requirements Active Manager’s Food Handlers Card (California Health Department requirement). Professional appearance and demeanor. US Work Authorization. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to work Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 3:00pm. Physical Demands Ability to lift 10-50 lbs. and move equipment as needed. Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions for up to 8 hours a day. Strong vision abilities for various tasks (e.g., close, distance, peripheral vision).
