About Nippon Dynawave Packaging in Longview, WA:
The Longview Liquid Packaging facility produces bleached paperboard used to make cartons and cups for liquids such as milk, juice, coffee, and sake. The facility employs about 500 people and produces 260,000 metric tons of paperboard each year -- the equivalent of 6 billion liter-sized milk cartons. Weyerhaeuser launched the Longview Liquid Packaging business in 1953 and operated the facility until its acquisition by Nippon Paper Industries (NPI).
The facility began a new era under NPI ownership on September 1, 2016, operating as Nippon Dynawave Packaging. As a long-time customer of Longview’s liquid packaging board, NPI brings a new level of understanding and commitment to the Liquid Packaging business, which bodes well for the future strength and success of the Longview facility.
